Regulation Compliance Requirements

• Limit the non-consensual use and release of private health information.

1. Access to yours/our web site requires a user name and password.
2. Transcription files on our server are encrypted.
3. Each AT&T Internet Service (SBIS POP) is a fully independent network having it’s own autonomous  (SBIS firewall) connection.
4. Malagant Inc. maintains our firewalled router.

• Obtain patients' authorization for non-routine disclosures.

1. Stat Med provides the transcribed reports only for the physicians office.
2. Our confidentiality statement was drafted by a legal staff that has conducted extensive research on the compliance regulations. 

• Retention of Records

1. Stat Med permanently saves to a CD all transcribed reports. This readable only CD is stored in a locked box and is admissible in court.
2. Daily Back Up of all dictated reports is stored in a fire proof vault on premises and a vault off premises.
